It’s Still The Same Moon

I was out tonight, in that bitter cold,
Out of nowhere, appeared a shining light,
Said get your self together, or say goodnight.

Because either way, it’s still the same moon,
Yesterday’s films or coming attractions of what’s new,
Anyway, it’s still the same moon,
Light-reflecting sun to a fresh view.

So I basked in its reflective aura, night sun,
Here it was, here all along with internal glow,
Hear free your mind or choose not to know.

Because either way, it’s still the same moon,
Left, right, or center, midnight or high noon,
Anyway, it’s still the same moon,
And a new day will be arising soon.
